Always get to the test centre 10 to 15 minutes early. You are allowed to drive in 5-10 minutes before the test starts. At many test centres, it gets congested. By getting in the test centre car park as early as possible, you can get the best parking bay, in case you are asked to do the bay park manoeuvre.

When should you signal for parked cars? If you think another road user may benefit, then apply a signal. For example, driving down a busy street with several parked cars, you probably won’t need to use the signal. If you are driving down a higher-speed road and you see a car broken down, you may wish to signal to warn other road users of the incident and let them know you are changing direction slightly too.

As the old saying goes, practice makes perfect, and this is especially true when it comes to driving. We aim to have you driving for the majority of your driving lessons and you will never be sat at the side of the road unnecessarily. When you first start your driving lessons, you will be driving through quiet areas, predominantly the residential areas of the town - including the areas close to Kenilworth Castle, where the roads are generally quiet and give you enough side roads and T-junctions to practise your turns.This is the time to get you used to the car, its controls and driving in general. Once you're ready, you will move onto busier and main roads and begin practicing your manoeuvres.

The majority of your driving lessons will cover the Warwick area, so you can become familiar with the roads and junctions you'll be facing on your driving test, some of which are actually in Kenilworth.
