Driving lessons in Kidlington

Having only started driving a week ago to the day, with no previous experience, I would like to share my delights with you all. I'm not gonna lie it was turbulent yet I've learnt so much over this amazing journey. I would like to give a special thanks to DriveJohnsons, Ernie the car and the one and only Don, my coach.

I come from China, first time learn driving lessons in the uk. Very good cars and instructors. Very satisfied with all course.

The best driving instructor you could possibly ask for!
Very patient, lovely, and has great methods of teaching which really help you to learn exactly what you need in a short space of time. Don knows exactly what is needed of you in the test and never fails to better your driving skills with each lesson, I'm so pleased that I passed and couldn't have done it without him. Plenty of jokes and tunes throughout the lessons to lighten the mood!

. Don's freindly and relaxed style made the learning process a pleasurable one. I couldn't recommend the man more, looking forward to continued learning out on the road. You'd do well to have him instruct you... Can't stress this enough: MONEY WELL SPENT.(I'm proper tight , so belive it!)

Donovan is a great driving structor who I would highly recommend without hesitation he is amicable and made me feel at ease he gave me the confidence and knowledge to allow me to pass my test first time with only one miner for not indercating into the test centre (my fault) if your'e looking for a instructor for yourself or your children then don russle is the guy to go to!

Passed first time with Don as my Coach. He is an excellent driving instructor - very organised and informative. Gave me all the materials I needed to pass both theory and practical. He also gave solid, constructive feedback each lesson and very useful tips on how to improve. I recommend him 100%. You won't be disappointed!

Go on Don!! Legend! Such a great coach! I Go to Portsmouth uni but travel back to oxford just to do lessons with him! I'm a nervous driver and make silly errors but I passed in no time!!! Great teaching method! Great service! Go to Don aka coach! :D

Passed my test with Don, in a really short space of time. Sending relatives over from India in order to complete course! Don was recommended to me and I was not disappointed, he is easily the best instructor I have had (and I have a few), very reliable and consistent. Will always try and fit you in and tailor the times to best suit you where possible. He is very friendly with a positive can do attitude. What I most like about Don is he does not try and give you more lessons than you need like other company's, if he thinks your ready he will tell you, and if you need more lessons then believe me you should take the advise and take more lessons. Overall I was very very satisfied with the instructor, and will definatly recommend Don to anyone wanting to pass their test.

Don is not only an exceptional driving instructor but also a great personality. He provides encouragement, instills confidence in your abilities and is especially good at identifying your weakest points in order to help you become a safe driver. I passed in under 24 one-hour driving lessons and with only 2 minors - from a complete novice to a confident driver. Don's pass rate speaks for itself and his experience really is a credit to Oxfordshire.

Don was the best instructor I could have hoped for, I always felt relaxed and positive when learning with him, which I am sure helped me to pass on my first attempt. I would always look forward to my lessons with him, as he was so cheery and patient with me. I would recommend him to anyone learning to drive, thank you so much!

Don is a very punctual and straight talking instructor and that's what makes him special . He won't waste your time chatting about football , he's brilliant at what he does.

If there was an option for 6 stars, I would be more than happy to give them.

Don is an excellent instructor and I'd recommend him to anyone. He'll recognise your driving weaknesses quickly, show you how to correct the problems and you'll practice until you're comfortable and confident.

Amazing driving instructor felt very comfortable, always so cheerful and never in a bad mood. Would 100% recommend him to anyone of all ages. So glad he was my driving instructor!!!!! Can't recommend him enough.

An unforgettable experience. Such a great coach with a smile that is forever present.
It was a long journey but a memorable one too. I would not of been able to manage if it was not for Don being by my side, I have already recommended him to many of my mates and will carry on to do so.

YESSSS!!!!! I passed my test with only ONE minor fault.

When I met Don first time for an assessment I immediately knew he was the type of instructor I was looking for. His approachable personality and great sense of humour made me feel at ease.

Ive had around 5 different instructors due to relocation, Don is by far the best. Very nice guy and patient instructor. Would recommend to anyone learning.

Don Russell - A League of His Own

I came to Don sceptical, sceptical of the claims made in his bio but I can tell you hand on heart Don Russell changed my life. I had been to driving instructors from John O Groats to Lands End none of which understood me for me. When I entered the car for the first time with Don it was a totally immersive experience. I was the car and the car was me - I suppose you could say the car became an extension of me. Forthright in his approach, firm in his beliefs, a coach who builds a team ethic with a strong, hard working philosophy but at all times fair Don made me realise that driving is more than just ignition, clutch, gas and go. Yes we clashed at times and yes we would discuss things me with my point of view and him with his but we would always and I mean ALWAYS be productive. When the day came to part ways after an astonishing zero minors on my test I can honestly say that tears were shed. Tears of appreciation to a man who's methods may not always be conventional but they always get results. Finally, I wouldn't say Don was the best instructor in the world but he's definitely in the top 1.

Don was a committed, attentive and dedicated coach who instructed me through trial and error, mistakes and bad habits. Don always made it very clear from the start that he really wanted his students to understand what it meant to be a good and sensible driver on the road and not just take lessons purely as a means of passing quickly and with that short sighted view in mind.

Don is a great instructor and a wonderful human being. He has amazing ability to keep you cheerful and relaxed, yet at the same time teaching to drive excellently. I've passed my exam on the first attempt and I would highly recommend Don.

Great teacher, lots of patience. One good aspect is that he tries to fit round your schedule. I passed second time, but after i failed the first he helped motivate me into passing the 2nd with barely any minors.

if I were to tell you about the things that went wrong today!!i could do it in 8 letters.....Nothing!!
However if I was to tell you about the positives about my first driving test, I'd write you a book..
Coach i salute you

Don has triple the charisma of Obama and is venerably the world's greatest driving instructor. Not only will he regale with you stories of his life that challenge Sinbad the sailor's for adventure, but you will also find yourself simultaneously relaxedly easing into those reverse around the corners, parallel parks, and turns in the road as though into a delicious jacuzzi. Woe betide the learner who misses the opportunity to learn with Don Russell.

Don is a great instructor firm when he needs to be but always fair. Knows exactly what's needed to be gone over and when to go over it. It also doesn't hurt that he's a great laugh!

Don is an excellent driving instructor. He is patient, encouraging and gives constructive comments. I highly recommend having lessons with him. I am really grateful for all his help.
