You will most likely notice your examiner looking over their shoulder when the car is moving. This is to double-check it’s safe, so be ready. When they look over their shoulder, they are about to ask you to stop!

Many learners fail their manoeuvre because they rush it. They get concerned about keeping other road users waiting. It's good to be considerate about other road users, but on your test, you have got to go nice and slow, so you have time to do all the observations needed. The faster you do the manoeuvre, the faster your observations should be. You know what to do - keep your speed slow, so you have time to observe!

Your driving instructor will review what happened on your driving test and then advise the next best course of action. Often it’s just a case of doing 4-8 top up hours before taking your next test. Some learners really struggle with nerves, if this has really affected the result of the last test then sometimes mock tests with different instructors can help, which we can arrange for you.
