when I call drive johnson, they say they have good instructing in my city in london. i ask them if they can give me the best person that they have in this city and i get given ahmad. he do my lessons and i pass my test yesterday now i am ready to drive anywhere thanks to the best instructor!!

So far I've done about 7 hours with Ahmad. The lessons are good and I feel like I've done loads already, and he's said as well that I'll probably only need like 15 or 20 more hours before I'm ready to go for my test. Really glad I got given Ahmad and will make sure I recommend all my friends to go with him as well.

Ahmad is simply fantastic as an instructor - he's attentive, great to talk to, and has practical and easily memorable tips that I can take away with me as I drive out in the world on my own. He's done wonders to restore my confidence in (and enjoyment of) driving and taught me a lot.

Great instructor, Noor helped me pass first time, minor free.
I took refresher lessons with Ahmad after not having driven in a while, with little to no confidence in my driving skills and utterly nervous to go back behind the wheel. Ahmad’s support, guidance and patience helped me become a better driver and restored my full confidence when driving a car. I cannot thank and recommend him enough, both to new drivers as well as to those who haven’t driven in a while and would like to refresh their knowledge in a safe, supportive environment.
Learning to drive sounded terrifying to me, but luckily I got to know with Noor. He was a great instructor and well deserving of five stars.

Me and my partner both decide to do lessons and get our licenses as fast as we can. I called drive jhonsons and arranged lessons for me and her, and we both got given ahmad ( who is very nice and great instructor ). If you need lessons then we must tell you that ahmad will be best instructor ever!
Ahmad was a great instructor and I passed my test first time. He quickly moves you on to the next level and suggests you book your test as soon as you are ready. Friendly and chatty but always 100% focused on what you are doing.

Spent a lot of hours with Ahmad, and definitely because I wasn't confident in my driving. However, Ahmad was always present to correct my errors and point out where I could improve, even if the lessons were long and I kept repeating the mistakes over and over. Ahmad is an amazing teacher. Every lesson was such a joy. He is calm and reassuring, and I felt like I could actually make mistakes, get feedback, learn and improve, while enjoying the whole process. Ahmad is an excellent driver, and could notice the slightest mistakes in my driving and instantly deliver feedback in such a way that I never felt bad. I passed the exam the first time with a couple minors after 2 months of lessons, and more importantly, feel very confident on the road while driving.

Where to start! If you are lucky enough to have Ahmed as your driving instructor, you are in safe hands. I started with him about a year ago having lost my confidence with driving. I didn’t enjoy it and never thought I’d pass. But Ahmed’s calm manner and meticulous standards meant that I grew to love driving, and passed my test first time. It was a pleasure to spend so many hours learning to drive with him, and I’ll miss our weekly car chats!

Passed my test with Ahmad and I can vouch for his skills a driving instructor. I have been through many instructors and Ahmad was by far the best. Unlike most other instructors he is patient with you and knows how to teach well whilst not lacking in any other area of being an instructor. He is also lovely driving and talking and share many wisdoms with you. I think this comes from the fact that he is also a Imam and used to teach Arabic so he has much more experience than most instructors.
I had 10 hours of driving lessons with Ahmed in preparation for moving to the US because I wanted some manual experience. I found him to be calm and considerate allowing me to work at my own pace to become familiar with driving. I’ll keep his number incase I ever come back to the UK and need a manual driving instructor!

I am so glad I had Ahmad to teach me to learn to drive. He is very friendly and nice, very knowledgable, calm and patient. I am not a naturally good driver, but Ahmad got me from almost always stalling at the traffic lights (when I started) to passing and getting complimented in my driving test and passing with only 1 minor. When you are on the independent driving part of the test, it's common to miss your mirrors and signalling when listening to and following the satnav. Remember, every time you hear a new direction, be prepared to check your mirrors and put a signal on if needed.

Sometimes you will try to overtake someone, and then they increase their speed. Pretty annoying, right? If this happens on your test, just eat some humble pie and retreat back into the left-hand lane. The alternative is getting into a race, possibly breaking the speed limit, resulting in a big fat FAIL at the end of your test.

With its famously narrow streets and alleyways, it may not immediately seem like the most obvious place to be if you’re looking to book driving lessons in Whitechapel. However, your driveJohnson’s instructor is here to help and knows this part of East London inside out. For beginners, the best areas close to Whitechapel are Wapping and the Isle of Dogs where the old docklands have given way to long, quiet cobbled streets which are perfect for helping you get used to the car.
As your confidence develops, your instructor will help you learn the trickier parts of Whitechapel, such as the narrow streets and squares around the Royal London Hospital, the bustle of Whitechapel and Mile End Road and the full, one-way length of Cable Street. You may even find yourself dipping into the Limehouse Link!
Our instructors know the local area like the back of their hand and will ensure you go over the relevant test routes several times before taking your test. Get used to going along the A13 to Barking or the A12 to Wanstead as these two roads will be your quickest way to your nearest test centre.
We would recommend most learners either take 2-hour lessons or meet their instructors by taking the underground tube near their chosen test centre, so the lessons leading up to your test are spent productively in and around the test route areas.
Whilst you will begin your driving lessons around smaller, quiet roads around Whitechapel, once you grow in confidence, you will begin to explore London more. This means that you are going to run across several London landmarks and tourist hotspots.
These will include the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, the National History Museum and much more. These are all hotspots for tourists, meaning that when it comes to driving these roads, you will enhance your skills even more.
