When you have mastered the basics, your driving instructor will have you driving along quieter roads in Mansfield, such as those in Ladybrook, to practice turning left and right from major to minor roads, emerging from junctions and meeting traffic.

As you grow in confidence, you will brave the busier A roads that thread through Mansfield's town centre, practicing dual carriageway driving on the A60 and tackling the difficult crossroads where the A60 and A6009 meet. Your instructor will also familiarise you with the popular test routes you may face at your chosen test centre, likely in Sutton-in-Ashfield, Watnall or Chesterfield, so that you feel fully confident and ready to tackle any challenge you may face on your test.
