Useful Driving Test Tip For Olney
For some reason, overtaking a cyclist on your driving test becomes much trickier. The human brain overanalyses everything because of the pressure. Here are some tips to decide when to overtake them.
You should never overtake a cyclist approaching or on a junction. You should never overtake a cyclist if you can't leave them at least an open car door length (1 metre). You should only overtake them if you think you can do it quickly and smoothly. If you are in slow moving traffic, consider holding back.

Frequently Asked Questions
Olney is a beautiful place to live, but it can be a problem for many driving schools in Olney to manage because of its location. Olney is approximately a 25-minute drive to Bletchley driving test centre and 25 minutes to the Bedford driving test centre. Luckily for you, we have an instructor who lives in Olney, and he covers both test centres.
Once you have learned the basics, you will need to decide where you want to take your test because your lessons will move to that area. Whatever your requirements, there is a very high chance we can help you. Just ask the question to your instructor earlier on if you wish to plan ahead.
Your nearest theory test centre will be in Milton Keynes or Rushden. There is no theory test centre in Bedford, unfortunately.
Living in the beautifully quaint town of Olney is a must if you have a driving licence. If you don't have a licence to drive then it certainly has it's limitations. This is where driveJohnson's can assist you by helping you pass fast with one of our local instructors. Starting your driving lessons in Olney for the first time? No problem, we will probably get you away from the high street and have you driving along Aspreys road, it's nice, quiet and the road is long with the odd turning to make it challenging and interesting. Once you are driving in and around the side roads of Olney, it's time to to explore one of the test centres. Many learners choose Milton Keynes, if thats the case then taking the Weston road towards Weston Underwood/Stoke Goldington is the way to go and will bring you to Newport Pagnell which is on the way to the test centre in Milton Keynes but also gives you challenges on the way.
From Olney to Bletchley it will take at least 25 minutes during non rush hour times and to Cardington in Bedford it will take around 30 minutes, so which ever test centre you choose for your driving lessons in Olney you will need to schedule at least 2 hours to get some test routes covered. If you don't want to mess about and pass fast then even 3 hours with a mini break in between may be more beneficial because of the travelling time.
