When you are on the independent driving part of the test, it's common to miss your mirrors and signalling when listening to and following the satnav. Remember, every time you hear a new direction, be prepared to check your mirrors and put a signal on if needed.

Your driving instructor in Tonbridge will come to meet you at a time and place that works well for you. They will introduce themselves and have a chat with you to find out a bit more about you and your driving experience. They will also check your eyesight and provisional driving licence.
They will tailor the driving lesson to your needs and your driving experience. If you are new to driving, they will take you to a quiet residential road in Tonbridge (a road like Baker Street would be ideal) where you can practice away from heavy traffic. There you will learn about the basic controls of the car, how to move off and stop, change gears, clutch control, how to turn left and right from a major to minor road and, if you are progressing quickly, how to emerge from an open T Junction.
If you have some experience under your belt, your driving instructor will ask you to take them on a drive around Tonbridge, likely in and around Higham Wood, where they can assess your abilities and what you may need to strengthen in order to be ready for your driving test.
