Top instructor and without Lee I'd have struggled to have passed my test with just 15 hours of lessons.
I lost my license 2 years ago as I had it revoked. I came to Drive Johnsons and did 6 hours with my instructor. I had to do an extended test and passed.
Lee is a great instructor and thanks to his teaching style I was able to pass my test after just 17 lessons, proper legend.

There are other elements of the test that they need to mark, which doesn't mean you have received a recorded fault. They have to mark down when a manoeuvre, hill start, angled moving off, and more are completed.

You have a 1 in 4 chance of being asked to do the emergency stop. If you are asked to do this, the examiner will explain this to you when the car is stationary. You will most likely notice your examiner looking over their shoulder when the car is moving. This is to double-check it’s safe, so be ready. When they look over their shoulder, they are about to ask you to stop!

Under the supervision of your expert driving instructor, you will start your driving lessons in Uckfield practising driving in a quiet residential area, such as Campbell Close. Here, away from traffic, you will practise the controls of the car, moving off, stopping and changing gears. You will then move to busier roads to practise turning left from a major to minor road, turning right and emerging from T Junctions. Gradually, your driving instructor will increase your exposure to traffic and the trickier areas of Uckfield, for example the crossroads where New Town Road meets the B2102. Also, know that you will not be restricted to Uckfield itself. As soon as your instructor feels you are ready, they will take you out on the A roads around the town to practise faster driving and increasing your confidence.
There aren't any driving test centres in Uckfield itself. However, you do have a few choices around half an hour's drive away, in Burgess Hill, Eastbourne and Tunbridge Wells. Our driving instructors in Uckfield know the test routes for each of these test centres, so rest assured that not having a test centre on your doorstep won't be a disadvantage to you.
First off, please know that it is perfectly normal to feel nervous about learning to drive. We help thousands of learners to pass their test every year and we see it all the time. Our driving instructors are all highly experienced at teaching apprehensive pupils and will help put you right at ease. We also have driving instructors in your area who specialise in teaching nervous pupils, so just let our bookings team know your concerns and they will allocate you to such an instructor.
