Parking on the grass is sometimes the only option in busy places, and grass patches are commonly used as ‘overflow car parks’. However, many drivers are still unsure whether you are allowed to park on grass or not.
Can you park on grass?
Parking on the grass is not prohibited unless it is causing an obstruction or there is a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) in place prohibiting it. If there is a Traffic Regulation Order in place, it will be indicated by signs or road markings to show that parking is prohibited.
