We will always ensure that your data is protected. Should we ask you to provide information by which you can be identified when using driveJohnson’s, you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.
Now and again, our privacy policy may change with recent updates. Please check this page when possible to ensure that you are happy with its contents. This policy is effective from 20th March 2018.
We may ask for the following information:
- Name, date of birth and employment status
- Contact details, including your phone number and email address
- Other details, such as address and postcode, card payment details, preferences for your franchise etc.
- Any driving convictions or other important information that may affect your ability or suitability to drive or teach as an ADI.
- Contact details for your emergency contacts.
Your calendar
We give you the option to sync your Google Calendar with our calendar. To do this, you will need to go through Google’s OAuth consent process to give us access to your Google Calendar. When you give us access, we’ll be able to read from and add events to your Google Calendar. We won’t add events to your Calendar, but provide you with the tools to create events from our application. You may revoke access to your Google Calendar and any other Google data at any time through your calendar settings.
What we do with the information we gather
The information is used so we can provide the best possible service for both your pupils and for yourself. Details are also used for the following:
- We may use the information to improve our products and services.
- Internal logging: we like to keep your details on file so if you ever need to call us we know who you are and who your driving with so we can help you quicker.
- From time to time you may receive emails about our latest products or deals and offers that may be beneficial to you.
- You may also receive phonecalls, SMS or emails for market research purposes. You may also receive curtsey calls if you are a driveJohnson’s pupil to check if you are happy with our services.
Security
We are commited to ensuring that your information is kept secure. To prevent unauthorised access, we have efficient procedures in place to protect the information we require online.
You may choose to restrict the collection or use of your personal information in the following ways:

Your details will not be sold, leased or distributed to other parties without your permission or we are required to do so by law. We may use your personal information to send you promotional information about third parties which may be of interest toy you if we have your permission.
You may request details of personal information which we hold about you under the Data Protection Act 1998. A small fee may be chargeable.
If details we hold about you are incorrect, let us know as soon as you can and they will be rectified immediately.
