Petrol Prices in Aberdeen begin to fall

At the beginning of the year, there was an uproar in Aberdeen about petrol prices as prices skyrocketed at a disheartening rate.

You could drive past some petrol forecourts, and within 24 hours, the prices had gone up another 1-2 pence.

Our driving instructors in Aberdeen were faced with the prospect of increasing their lesson prices if the cost of petrol exceeded £2.00 per litre.

A few months on, we are now beginning to see the petrol prices feather down to more reasonable and affordable prices, despite the increasing cost of living crisis.

In some news articles published recently, there is still another 10 pence to come off of the fuel prices as we see the fuel stations profiteering with rocket and feather tactics.

How we have helped our learners with the fuel prices

Our instructors refrained from putting their prices up in recent months, and one of our driving instructors in Banchory even offered an extra 15 minutes at the end of each driving lesson to help his pupils pass faster.

Jonathan Shelbourne said, “I love my job and helping my pupils where I can. During such difficult times, I thought it was the least I could do to help my pupils. Many learners love the driving part of their lessons but don’t practice the theory side of driving. By offering the extra 15 minutes at the end of the lesson, they were benefiting from the much-needed theory and not losing time on driving, which they enjoy most.”
