Useful Driving Test Tip For Brentwood
When should you signal for parked cars? If you think another road user may benefit, then apply a signal. For example, driving down a busy street with several parked cars, you probably won’t need to use the signal. If you are driving down a higher-speed road and you see a car broken down, you may wish to signal to warn other road users of the incident and let them know you are changing direction slightly too.

During your first driving lesson in Brentwood, our driveJohnson's driving instructor will ask you some questions about any previous driving experience and will talk you through the process in general. When you're ready, they will start you off in a quieter area of Brentwood to get you used to driving around and help you become confident with the car. In your first lesson, you will learn about the various controls in the car, clutch control, moving and stopping off and maybe turning left and right from a major to minor road.
At the end of your first lesson, the instructor will drive you back to where you live or need to get to. There will be a debrief where they will go over the lesson with you and offer some feedback to help you prepare for your next lesson.
Everyone is different and there is no right answer to this question. Our average pass time for complete beginners with no previous experience is 26 hours; however, this can be dramatically less or more depending on the person. We regularly have pupils passing in 10-15 hours from scratch so rest assured we won't be looking to long your lessons out.
Our 2-hour assessment lesson is a great way to find out how many hours you may need and this will help your driving instructor to give you an idea of how many lessons you will need to pass.
