Useful Driving Test Tip For Canary Wharf
Take your time on your manoeuvre so you can keep your head moving around in all directions. If you see anything coming towards you be prepared to stop; remember it’s their priority. If you stop, don’t forget to look all around you before you start moving again. Lastly, don’t stare in the door mirrors. You can glance in them quickly only to see where you are and what you need to do with your direction.

Frequently asked questions...
When it comes to taking your driving lessons in Canary Wharf, the area around the Isle of Dogs and Canary Wharf is perfect for beginners compared to many other areas in London. Although the ‘island’ is well connected to the rest of the East End, it does have a somewhat isolated feel from the rest of the city, meaning the roads around the Isle of Dogs are pretty much traffic-free.
As a beginner, your driveJohnson's instructor will introduce you to the basics on the island’s quiet back streets, such as Saunders Ness Road and Stebondale Street. You’ll also find yourself driving around the long route (over 3 miles long) which loops around the island formed by Westferry Road, Manchester Road and Marsh Wall - an ideal beginner's course where you’ll build your confidence and learn to deal with aspects of driving such as pedestrian crossings, small roundabouts and various road markings.
Once confident, you’ll be able to explore further afield, heading out towards Poplar and Limehouse with their faster roads and larger roundabouts. You may even spot the famous ‘Traffic Light Tree’ outside Billingsgate Market!
Yes, we do offer female driving instructors in Canary Wharf. All of our female instructors come highly recommended and are all rated a minimum of 4.5 out of 5 stars. They tend to get booked up quickly so if you are after driving lessons in Canary Wharf with a woman instructor, we would always recommend getting in touch in advance to avoid disappointment.
