I had a wonderful experience learning how to drive with Kajal from driveJohnson's. Kajal was recommended to me by my husband, who was able to pass his first test after choosing her as his driving instructor. When it was my turn for lessons, I found Kajal to be friendly, professional, and an all-around very chill person - which is exactly what a nervous person (like me) needs when learning to navigate the roads. Her car was always immaculately clean, easy to handle, and a pleasure to drive. I also ended up passing my first driving test (with zero faults!), all thanks to Kajal. Needless to say, I will be recommending Kajal to anyone who needs a driving instructor.

You will often get away with this, but now and again, something will be there, like a parked car or a pedestrian about to walk out. On your test, you’ll fail, and in real life, you’ll have a severe accident. Be sure to do the minimum observations for T-junctions: right, left, right and then look into the road before you emerge into it!

Moving off with the handbrake on is a popular reason for failing your test. Many learners don't release the handbrake fully when moving off and then, 5-10 seconds later, the car starts to make a beeping noise. At this point, you have probably failed your test.

There isn't a driving test centre in Stanmore itself but you are not far from several driving test centres. Mill Hill, Borehamwood, Pinner, Hendon and Watford are all around 15-20 minutes drive away. You could even take your driving test at Greenford test centre as this is around half an hour away by car. Discuss with your driving instructor in Stanmore which test centre they would recommend as they will know the popular test routes around each of them and can advise which one they think would work best for you.
