Choosing an area that you are familiar with, whether that be Melbourn, Arrington or Therfield, we'll build up your confidence with all of the manoeuvres and driving skills.
As soon as you're ready, we will waste no time keeping you in Royston, you'll drive to one of your local test centres to get practising. Our driving school in Royston will have you ditching those 'L' plates in no time.

Without Traceys help, I never would have passed my driving test after just 26 hours.
I came to Drive Johnsons who really helped me with my lessons.I magically passed my theory and my practical driving test.
Keith is an incredible driving instructor, I went for being extremely nervous to being a confident driver and I have Keith to thank for that. I could not recommend him enough and he a great guy as well!
Brilliant instructor. He was calm, helpful and a good laugh making it a very enjoyable experience. He explained things so much more clearer than my other instructors. I dont think i couldve passed without him. Definitely recommend him to anyone who feels nervous and anxious about driving. Thank you!!
I did 18 hours including my test and smashed my practical. I got a quick test and passed Monday.
I struggled to pass with another instructor but thankfully I switched over to Drivejohnson and Tracey and I was able to pass on my first try with her.
Just passed my test and done motorway lessons, I've had 2 other instructors over the past 2 years and my drivejohnsons one was by far the best! Feel very confident driving now, as he didn't just teach me how to pass the test , but how to drive!! Would thoroughly recommend to any new driver!
An amazing instructor, and I can't recommend Tracey enough, if you want to learn to drive quickly, make sure you learn with Tracey.
Just passed today! Took a few attempts but I'd have never made it to this point without him. Really straight forward approach to teaching and can adapt to find what methods suit individual learners. He's also just a really nice guy who can make you feel relaxed as a nervous or stressed driver. Couldn't recommend him enough!

Jackmans Place, Letchworth Garden City, SG6 1RFPoor observation is one of the top reasons for failing your driving test. When approaching roundabouts, check the right nice and early. Don’t forget to look ahead as well so you know what the car in front is doing. Early vision = early decision. If you look early, you can time your approach smoothly, avoiding any sudden stopping or the examiner braking on dual controls.
