About the driving theory test
The driving theory test consists of two sections – the multiple choice section and the hazard perception section. The mark required to pass is 43 out of 50 for the multiple choice part and 44 out of a possible 75 for the hazard perception. You can learn more information about the hazard perception section here.
Our online based theory test training software gives you access to over 1000 possible questions that you may be asked on the day of your theory test. The beauty with our theory test training is that any questions you get wrong will be recorded, so you can go over them again and again until you get them right. There is also analysis available for each question to help you understand the questions and correct answers better.
Advice on booking your driving theory test
Many learners type into Google, “booking a theory test”. They are then being provided with a choice of many websites, all offering the same service and more. The GOV.UK website charges £23 for a driving theory test, though there are copy cat websites charging in the region of £62 for the exact same service.
Copy cat websites often even use official logos to create a sense of trust to those who do not know any different and some are even offering free re-tests if the candidate fails their first attempt. That sounds great, until you read the small print in the terms and conditions, which explains that the pupil must fail by just one mark to qualify for the free re-test. With the pass mark being 43, anything less that 42 won’t be entitled to the free re-test.
To avoid paying any booking fee, book your driving theory test through the official DVSA website.
The theory test is just £23, and the practical driving test is just £62. Anything more than that and you should be wary about using that particular company. Copy cat websites usually make it extremely easy to book a test with them, but make it very difficult when you have a problem.
