It stands for Mirror – Signal – Manoeuvre.
Manoeuvre is an abbreviation for: Position – Speed – Look.
It’s probably easier as a learner to just remember MSPSL to avoid confusing yourself. You may find older instructors will use the term MSM and instructors who have qualified in the last 15 years will say MSPSL.
