Useful Driving Test Tip For Sheffield
It’s common when turning left at a blind T-junction to look right and only look left when the car goes into a new road. You will often get away with this, but now and again, something will be there, like a parked car or a pedestrian about to walk out. On your test, you’ll fail, and in real life, you’ll have a severe accident. Be sure to do the minimum observations for T-junctions: right, left, right again, and then look into the road before you emerge into it!

We are happy to offer automatic driving lessons in Sheffield and the surrounding areas. There are a huge number of benefits to learning in an automatic vehicle, including passing faster than other students.
All of our automatic driving instructors in Sheffield are test route specialists and are observed by a company trainer at least twice a year as well as the DVSA’s standards check, so you can trust that you will receive the highest quality of teaching.
We have great deals on all of our automatic lessons and block bookings so there is no better time than now to book with us.
After a few initial checks, your driving instructor will drive you to a quiet area, like Norton Lees, so that they can start to teach you to drive away from traffic. If you have no prior driving experience, and many of our learners don't, you will begin by learning the basic car controls, gears, clutch control as well as moving off and stopping.
When you have mastered the basics, your driving instructor will have you driving along quieter roads, like Moonshine Lane and Everingham Road, to practice turning left and right from major to minor roads, emerging from junctions and meeting traffic.
As you grow in confidence, you will be taught manoeuvres and brave the busier A and B roads that circle the city centre. When your driving instructor feels you are ready, they will have you on the A61 to practice dual carriageways and large roundabouts, and you will experience motorway driving on the M1.
However, rest assured that our driving instructors in Sheffield will tailor your driving lessons to your particular needs and will progress your lessons at a pace you feel comfortable with.
Yes, we have driving instructors in Sheffield who offer lessons on the weekends, should this work better with your schedule.
Just call our friendly Bookings and Enquiries Team on 0330 124 4877 if you would like this and they will pair you with a driving instructor that can accommodate.
