New figures have revealed the best and worst places to take your driving test in Hertfordshire. If you’re taking driving lessons in Hertford, the data below may be of interest to you when it comes to the question of where to take your driving test in Hertfordshire.
Hertfordshire test centre pass rates
The DVSA has recently released data which shows which test centres learners aged 17-25 are having the most success.
Good news if you’re taking your driving lessons in Borehamwood, as this test centre has the highest pass rate. Between April 2019 and March 2020, 2088 people took their test at Borehamwood test centre, with 53.9% passing.
Watford test centre also has a relatively high pass rate, with 52.3% of the 3565 people who took their test there passing. Stevenage driving test centre had a pass rate of 51.3% over the same time, with Letchworth sitting at 48.4%.
Coming in just under Stevenage test centre, Bishop’s Stortford had a pass rate of 48.3%. St Albans saw the least amount of learners passing, with a pass rate of just 43.7%.

“Try not to let the pass rate in Stevenage worry you. Haven taken pupils for their tests in Stevenage, Letchworth, St Albans and many of the other test centres in Hertfordshire, I can say the examiners are always fair. My pupils are always prepared and confident to take their test at any test centre, so the test centre pass rates shouldn’t affect them.”
