Useful Driving Test Tip For Abertillery
Moving off with the handbrake on is a popular reason for failing your test. Many learners don't release the handbrake fully when moving off and then, 5-10 seconds later, the car starts to make a beeping noise. At this point, you have probably failed your test.

Frequently asked questions...
On your very first driving lesson, your driving instructor in Abertillery will come to collect you at the prearranged time and place. They will have an initial chat with you to get to know you a bit better and find out about your driving experience. They will also check your eyesight and provisional licence to ensure that you are safe and legal to drive.
They will then drive you to a quiet area in Abertillery where you are unlikely to be disturbed whilst you practice behind the wheel, somewhere like the car park off Glandwr Street or Tesco's car park if it's not a busy time. Here, you will go over the basic controls of the car, steering, and moving off and stopping. Then, when you are ready, you will start driving around quiet areas to practice turning left and right and emerging from a T Junction. The driving instructor will progress the lesson at a pace that you feel happy with and tailor it to your specific needs.
