At driveJohnson's we specialise in intensive driving courses in Beaconsfield. Unlike other driving school that offer intensive courses, our courses are actually tailored to each individual, helping you to learn faster.
We understand that everyone is different and everyone's driving needs are unique; that's why we start all of our courses with a 2-hour assessment lesson to see where you're at and put an intensive course together for you.
As a growing market town just off the M1, Beaconsfield is a fantastic location to introduce you to a tonne of different road types and slowly build up the confidence to tackle trickier situations. As a growing market town just off the M1, Beaconsfield is a fantastic location to introduce you to a tonne of different road types and slowly build up confidence to tackle trickier situations. When taking driving lessons in Beaconsfield, you’ll be surrounded by nearby towns such as Amersham, Gerrards Cross and High Wycombe; all of which are less than 5 miles away from the centre. This means you’ll have plenty of different towns to explore during lessons and you’ll never get bored on the same old roads.
Your first lesson probably won’t be in central Beaconsfield as there are multiple different primary and secondary schools, which means there will be a lot of pedestrians, parked cars and crossings. Instead, your instructor is likely to take you past the train station over to Knotty Green, an ideal location for beginners who just want to grasp the basics of driving. The area is a very quiet housing estate with hardly any cars parked on the side of the road and lots of little, simple junctions to experiment with. Campbell Drive and Seeleys Road, in particular, are perfect for taking your time to not only get used to the controls but also nail manoeuvres later on down the line.
As your test approaches, it’ll be time to go a little outside of your comfort zone and use the ‘A’ roads to your advantage. The A355 over to the tricky Pyebush Roundabout will give you the opportunity to familiarise yourself with joining busy dual carriageways, such as the A40 using feeder lanes. If you’re feeling particularly brave, why not try your hand at the A335 roundabout that goes over the M40? Although you don’t have to go on the motorway, it will give you a chance to understand multiple-lane systems.
