Passed first time with Israar. Would highly recommend. He is very clear in his explanations and tailored his teaching to my learning style. Was a pleasure to learn with Israar.

Brilliant instructor, explains everything very calmly and clearly, never made me feel like I was doing poorly or learning too slow and genuinely wants you to succeed.Passed first time with him, couldn't have asked for a better instructor.

The best instructor I have had nice calm friendly person easy to learn with and makes sure it’s and nice calm environment

Before learning with Israar I’d had 9 lessons with a previous instructor which had left me seriously lacking in confidence. In the first 5 minutes of my first lesson with Israar I had learned more than I had in 9 hours of previous tuition. By the end of the lesson Israar had talked me through every issue I was having & how to fix each problem. For the first time in 10 weeks of driving I finally felt like I was in control of the car. As an instructor Israar is kind, patient & encouraging. He is excellent at building a lesson around your needs & preferences, providing assistance when needed while helping build your confidence to drive independently. Any concerns I had were always established at the start of the lesson & addressed as a priority. All of these things meant I was able to pass my test on the first attempt. A fantastic instructor, who I can highly recommend.

Lee is a fantastic instructor, I passed my driving test first time after just a month and around eight to nine lessons with him. He paid close attention to every small detail, from fixing my coasting to teaching me proper clutch-brake coordination, and made sure I was fully test-ready in a short space of time. Highly recommend him to anyone learning to drive!

Passed this morning with Israar and honestly, I couldn't have asked for a better instructor. He's calm, patient, adaptable to your skill level and super knowledgeable about his craft as well as being super easy to talk to and an all round top bloke. He didn't just teach me how to pass the test he teaches you how to drive in real life and he gave me so much confidence behind the wheel. Massive thanks again Israar I could not have done it without you. You are the GOAT 💪🐐

Had a great experience learning with Lee! He helped me to get rid of my old driving habits and got me up to a very high driving standard! I did 24 hours of lessons with him and passed the test with 0 faults! Recommend

Israar is a great driving instructor. He is incredibly patient and creates a relaxed environment in the car. On the first lesson he asked me how I preferred to learn and throughout my driving lessons continued to teach in this way, which was incredibly helpful. He was very clear in his explanations before, during and after driving which allowed me to progress significantly. He was incredibly supportive which I believe was a significant factor in allowing me to pass first time. I would highly recommend Israar as a driving instructor!

Would definitely recommend Israar as an instructor. My 17 year old has just passed, first test. He was nervous learning at first but Israar made him feel confident and he enjoyed his lessons. It was easy to organise lessons around his school and exam commitments and Israar was flexible. He responded quickly to messages and provided lots of feedback for him to work on. Younger son will learn with him when old enough.

Passed my test first time with Israar! He is an incredible instructor - patient, clear, and excellent at breaking things down. He creates a very calm atmosphere in the car, which made learning much easier and less stressful. I’d definitely recommend him to anyone.

Absolutely amazing instructor, was good with communication and explanation of procedures. As a young driver learning to drive from scratch I can testify that Israar would always provide guidance and reassurance when necessary and prepared me enough so I was confident and allowed me to pass on my first try. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking forward to starting their journey as a driver!

I started doing lessons with Israar at the grand old age of 37, not entirely sure i'd stick at it after an awful experience trying to learn in my 20s. He has been extremely patient and has been able to explain things in ways I could understand, and because of that my learning experience has been top notch. I passed today first time with 1 minor which I couldn't have done without his guidance and support, i'll be recommending him to anyone in Leeds looking to do lessons!

I could not recommend Israar more! I went from a really nervous and unconfident driver to passing first time with all of his help. Every lesson I felt like I progressed and the lessons on the build up to my test each had a focus and he would always ask me what I would like to work on to focus on those things worrying me most. He always kept a calm and cool presence in the car which was really helpful in keeping me focused and calm. Thanks so much again Israar for all of your help with getting me to pass!

He teaches very well and explains everything clearly, calmly, and patiently.Whenever I made mistakes, he never got upset. Instead, he always explained where I was wrong, what I needed to improve, and how I could improve it. If I had any questions, he always told me that I could ask him anything at any time, and he would explain everything in detail.I am very grateful that I had such an instructor as Israar. Thank you so much for teaching me how to drive confidently. Because of your guidance, I now feel ready to be a good and responsible driver on the road. Most importantly, with his help I passed my driving test on the first attempt! Thank you once again for everything.

When I start lessons, israar was about to take a well deserved 3 week holiday. I had a choice, stick with him or get a new instructor. I knew israar had a high 1st time success rate. Due to this, I decided to stick with him and wait out his holiday. It was the correct decision, as I passed 1st time! Thanks for all you help mate 💪.

I couldn’t recommend Israar as a driving instructor enough! I learnt to drive when I was 17 in my hometown and failed some tests which knocked my confidence. He taught me a lot and made me feel confident behind the wheel again! He was always flexible and understanding with lesson times and always came on time to the lessons. So happy to say I passed my test and I couldn’t have done it without his help.

Huge huge thank you to Israar for helping me pass! I’d tried to learn in the past when I was 17 but failed 2 tests which knocked my confidence and I paused my learning. I then moved up to Leeds for uni and had no experience on the roads here but Israar helped me to feel comfortable after 5 years of not learning! I ended up passing after 2 months of learning with Israar with only 2 minors! Couldn’t be happier, thank you so much!

After taking an almost 2 year break from driving. I booked my test with 2 months to go. From unconfident and inexperienced, Lee ran me through all the basics and within a month and a half left me brimming with confidence. Lee’s style of instructing is very calm and I never felt uneasy or scared to make mistakes and Lee constantly reassured me with the right thing to do. Passed first time thanks to Lee. Israar is an Excellent instructor with huge experience. Just 2 sessions with him, the last session was a day to my actual test and he was able to advise on list of things to work on before going in for the test. I am very happy I had my test today and passed on 1st attempt. My wife is definitely coming for her classes with you.

The best instructor out there, I learnt so much knew driving knowledge, more confidence on the road and the skills to finally pass my driving test the 3rd time.Prior to this I had a different instructor and drove way better when changing to israar due to his teaching style and experience.

Israar taught both my children from scratch at 18yrs old and in my humble opinion from driving for over 40yrs he taught them to a high standard, they both have cars of their own but I would have no hesitation in letting them drive my car! My son passed at first attempt after just a few lessons, my daughter passed at the second attempt but it was purely down to nerves that she failed the first time ! I would have no hesitation in recommending Israar to family and friends

Great instructor, very down to earth and honest. A calm and inspiring attitude is always met with excellent teaching alongside. Even when things don't go to plan, the instructor adjusts accordingly and always makes correct decisions to ensure a smooth lesson. Meaning passing is all the easier.

He was a great driving instructor for the entirety of my learning process. He was always helpful and kind. Also, he prepared me for my test with many good routes and practised the right things.

Brilliant Instructor! I passed my finals on my first attempt. Very good teacher, reliable, friendly. Always arrives to lessons on time. I highly recommend!!

First and foremost my instructor Israar is very professional and knowledgeable person. His expertise to teach the driving is very minute to detail, practically helpful to stay safe and keep others safe on the road, the subtle way he give feedback every time. I respect him for teaching driving not only to just pass but also to improve as good and safe driving for rest of the life. Israar has been my instructor for nearly a year now and today I passed! He has always been super supportive and helpful in his teaching methods! Great instructor, can’t fault him.

I passed today 30 January. I am 47 and never thought i woukd be able to, I did an introduction lesson back last year to see how it went, and I was so impressed with Israar teaching and patience right away he made me feel at ease and less stressed. Israar, was great, knowledgeable and offered the best tips how to pass on manoeuvres and was always very encouraging. After only a few lessons he had my confidence up, even through my blips and having moments where I didn't think I was good enough, Israar, got me to stay in the moment and give me that moral boosting talks. Not just on lesson, but having the reports sent to me give me that all important boost. Thanks a lot..

I had an amazing experience with my driving instructor. He was patient, knowledgeable, and made me feel comfortable behind the wheels .The lessons were well-structured, and he always provides a constructive feedback. Excellent instructor. I would recommend Israar to anyone. He is incredibly knowledgeable, highly professional, and has a genuine care for his work. Israar's patience and empathy shine through, giving confidence to the learner; whilst embedding challenge that is appropriate to the individual needs of the learner. Israar does not consider learners to be homogenous, he will develop a driving plan and provide tailored and structured 1-1 feedback and support that allows you to excel. I am very happy with my outcome; recieving a 1st time pass thanks to Israar's teachings. Thanks Israar, you have been amazing 10/10.

I have no words that can clearly express my gratitude towards my instructor Israar. The level of patience and constant assurance is beyond this world. His determination for good results has drawn us to him and we got more than an instructor( a friend). Personally i cant thank him enough for moulding me into becoming a fully licenced driver booming with confidence and a zeal to learn more. He is an ambassador for the driving school. Thank you so much Israar Zaman

Israar is an amazing instructor. He focussed our lessons on quickly identifying areas to improve, and then gave top quality guidance to bring that skill to test-ready capability. Would recommend to all drivers, regardless of experience.

I went through quite a few instructors before meeting Lee and he really is the best. He is extremely good at his job- with clear instructions, tons of patience and constant good advice. He is also very professional- his car is always spotless, he is always on time and he is really personable too. His teaching is not only the reason I passed my test first time, but will be the reason I go on driving as safely as possible. 100% recommend.

Israar is the best teacher in my life, trust me. I’m not a young student who just trying to pass first test in his life but I’m doing this in different country, in different language, with complete different rules. This guy can teach me in just 11 hours and explain me everything I really need to safely drive in UK. I have been living in UK for several years but never meet friends like Israar. My respect to him and thank you sooo much for teaching me with so intense and response!!!!

I cannot recommend Israar enough as a driving instructor! I recently completed a crash course with him, and the experience was exceptional. His teaching style is brilliant—he provides clear, helpful commentary throughout the lessons, which made learning to drive feel smooth and manageable.Israar went above and beyond by sharing excellent learning resources and even texting me personalized keynotes after each lesson. These notes highlighted what I did well and what areas I needed to focus on, which greatly accelerated my progress. Thanks to his guidance, I passed my driving test on the first attempt with just two minors, all in under 15 hours. If you’re looking for a patient, professional, and dedicated driving instructor, Israar is the perfect choice!

Excellent instructor, and genuinely nice fella. Passed 1st time with Israar . With just one minor. Would highly recommend him. 👍

THE BEST INSTRUCTOR!!I want to say a huge THANK YOU to ISRAAR for being an amazing driving instructor! As a deaf student, I had previous instructors which even though one had experience with deaf, they weren't patient enough to teach me. I am forever grateful to god that after many tries, I found the right one, Israar. He had no experience teaching deaf students, but he was willing to teach me. He was super kind and trusted my ability to drive. I am grateful to say I have passed my driving test on 1st attempt. It was all thanks to Israar who trusted and wanted me to pass more than I myself. He is the best instructor in Leeds, there's no one like him. He's super kind, super patient and trustworthy. You will never regret having him as an instructor. I will forever be grateful to you. May god bless you.

Israar is a great instructor and a really nice guy. He's firm when needed and supportive when needed. Very attentive to details and goes the extra mile with his students. Highly recommend!

Israar was a fantastic driving instructor for me, helping me pass first time with no minors! He was always really friendly and reassuring during lessons, which was so important for me to build up my confidence. He was very patient whenever I made mistakes whilst recognising and celebrating progress that I’d made. He had a great eye for areas that I struggled in and was always planning lessons around those areas, so that I was developing as a driver each and every lesson. We covered a variety of different road types and routes, that helped develop great exam technique but also taught valuable skills that have been really useful me since passing. Cannot recommend enough!

Lee is a very patient and calm instructor, and really put me at ease behind the wheel. He was able to explain everything necessary to pass clearly and in simple terms. Overall I had really great experience, and managed to pass first time with 2 months of lessons with him (and some prior experience) :)

I passed with Lee after roughly 9 months of learning with no prior knowledge, amazing instructor with a lot of patience and makes you feel comfortable with driving. Also helped another 4 people I know pass

Lee has been a fantastic driving instructor. I originally had lessons when i turned 17 and stoped at the time of pandemic and then I started uni. Having had 3 years away from driving, Lee started me on the basics and allowed me to progress at a great pace. I always felt safe and in the right hands. He used an ipad with lots of diagrams and scenarios to help me understand manoeuvres and situations before and after performing them on the road. I passed first time and couldn’t recommend Lee enough, best driving instructor I have had.

I've been learning for only 9 months and Lee guided me to pass my test first time. Super friendly guy, with a lot of experience and knowledge under his belt. His teaching style is very calm, he has great tips and techniques and was always understanding and helpful when I made mistakes. Thanks again Lee! :)

PDI Training - Parts 2&3. I cannot thank Lee enough for all his help and support throughout my training. Lee provided specific and invaluable feedback that helped me grow as a trainee and gain confidence in my abilities. Lee gave me the skills and encouragement to believe in myself which enabled me to gain a first time pass on parts 2&3!

Patient, knowledgeable and all around great teacher! Strikes a balance between letting you drive independently while correcting your mistakes and helping you learn. Passed first time and couldn't say a bad word.

Lee is a great instructor. Very patient and understanding. Knows when to push you out of your comfort zone and always comes to the lesson prepared and with a plan. Would recommend

Lee is a great instructor. He is always positive, knowledgeable and calm. Great communicator, always punctual to lessons and always making sure driving and teaching is at best standard. He explains everything really clearly and made me feel really confident when driving and passing my test. I love driving now and I am confident that I am a safe driver. Thank you for amazing lessons!

Lee is an excellent driving instructor. Flexible, punctual and always attentive in lessons. I had some extreme anxiety around driving after a motorcycle accident prior; Lee used a no nonsense and proactive approach which gave me so much confidence driving I went from anxious to excited for a lesson. Lee can get a little frustrated at times - but this is only when he knows you can do better and instead of being patronising it actually made me want to perform better to impress. The lessons are to such a high standard and the expectation is almost perfection which makes the actual driving test much easier! Thank you

Lee has been absolutely brilliant. His patience was exactly what I needed as an individual, and his ability to break things down analytically either before a new maneuver or after a mistake really helped me pass my test.

Lee is an amazing instructor. He helped and reassured me in times where I doubted myself, his way of teaching was fantastic which enabled me to become confident and ensured that I was test ready in which I passed first time! I definitely recommend.

Lee is an amazing driving instructor, always remaining calm, compassionate and reassuring even throughout high stress driving experiences. He is extremely flexible and allowed me to have lessons at different times each week to suit my schedule and was always punctual. Lee has a wealth of knowledge and was able to explain things clearly and simply, ensuring that I fully understood the concept before moving on and thanks to Lee’s expertise and excellent teaching, I was able to pass my driving test first time!! I would 100% recommend Lee as a driving instructor!

Lee was very good at understanding the areas of driving I needed to work on and explained these to me in an effective way. This enabled me to become a confident driver. For all my driving lessons, Lee always had a positive and friendly manner. But most importantly Lee always remained calm and patient always providing a pleasant driving experience. Lee is a great driving instructor and helped me pass my test first time. He is very good and correcting where you went wrong and telling you how to improve. Without his help I wouldn’t have been able to pass!

After failing multiple times with a previous instructor and being close to giving up, i chose to give a new instructor a go (Lee) which was the best decision i could’ve done. He helped improve my driving very quickly and allowed me to pass with no minors at all on my first test after learning with him. Couldn’t recommend him enough to anyone. Best instructor out there

My mum bought me some lessons for my birthday as my cousin passed with this company and I’m so glad I did as they helped me with my theory test and my practical exam. Thank you Lee!

Lee has been an amazing driving instructor! He has been very patient and hardworking helping me to become a more confident driver. This allowed me to pass my driving test on my first try. He is friendly and approachable making driving lessons less stressful and more enjoyable. I would highly recommend him to anyone wanting to learn to drive and pass first time.

Lee is definitely one of the best driving instructors there is. He is very professional and friendly & and never gets impatient or angry when making mistakes. After switching to Lee from a different instructor he helped to build my confidence massively, allowing me to pass first time. I would highly recommend him to anyone that is wanting to start their lessons or is looking for a new well experienced driving instructor.

I have had lessons on and off for a few years now, I then fell pregnant and definitely needed to drive before my baby came so I called drive Johnsons and they paired me with Lee who I passed my test with after 38 hours.

Jaspal is a great teacher and I would highly recommend to anyone looking to learn to drive. He is extremely knowledgable, friendly and patient. Thank you Jaspal.

Lee is the best instructor ever (I should know, I've been through 3!) He's super knowledgeable, professional, thorough, skilled and such a laugh. I passed first time with him, he made sure I was prepared and worked within my busy schedule and time limits. He's very good at explaining things, and would make sure I'd understood. He's also (annoyingly) good at pointing out mistakes and making sure he's gone over them with you in a constructive way. 10/10 would recommend! Thank you Lee! :)

I had some lessons before with another instructor and had learned a few bad habits that took time to correct and I wasn't very confident, so I am really grateful to Lee for helping me become a confident driver and pass my test first time.Lee was really flexible with timings for lessons which was helpful too. I would definitely recommend him!

Lee was the third driving instructor I had and I’m extremely glad I didn’t settle for less. He made learning to drive very easy and stress free, always managed to find time that suited me and was always full of constructive criticism. I passed my test first time thanks to Lee’s teaching!

Lee is everything you want in a driving instructor; friendly, professional, punctual and an absolute expert in his field. I started off learning with a highly recommended driving instructor but switched to Lee after my old instructor cancelled a few lessons. It was the best decision that I ever made as my old instructor paled in comparison to Lee. Lee's experience and know-how were evident from lesson one and I cannot recommend him highly enough.

An amazing instructor, always on time and helped me get my driving perfect no matter how long it took, always flexible with time and was so patient with me and kept reassuring me when I was getting stressed or couldn’t do something, absolute genuine friendly guy, wouldn’t of done it without him, couldn’t recommend him enough!

His reassuring and relaxed demeanour allowed me to enjoy my driving lessons whilst developing my skills behind the wheel. His knowledge and experience was apparent and he was always able to answer any questions I had about driving. I would highly recommend Lee to anyone looking to pass their test first time.

Literally the perfect driving instructor. Turns up exactly on time, never cancelled a lesson and one of the kindest and friendly people I've ever met. Never once got angry or annoyed. Lee's expertise and experience was obvious during the test as the route covered was almost identical to the ones covered during lessons. And if you want to practice anything, he knows exactly where to go. I couldn't recommend Lee enough, there is literally no downside to learning to drive with Lee and he single handedly helped me pass first time.

Without Lee I wouldn't have passed first time. I feel safe and confident on the roads thanks to him. He has a relaxed style of teaching and he has a good sense of humour. His car was always clean, he was on time and polite. Great instructor! Thank you for all your help Lee!

Lee is a positive and reassuring instructor who will help you to gain the confidence and skills needed behind the wheel. He's a real asset to the Drive Johnsons team.P.s he helped me pass first time!

Lee was absolutely brilliant. My daughter really wanted to learn to drive but was incredibly nervous about starting lessons. Lee was so patient with her and very reassuring and, thanks to his support, she quickly gained much more self confidence to the point she really looked forward to her lessons. Lee was always punctual, very easy to contact and flexible. My daughter really liked him and I found him extremely pleasant to deal with too. Both myself and my daughter would highly recommend him, particularly to anyone who is nervous about taking their first steps on the road to driving.

Hamid is an outstanding driving instructor who excels in punctuality, clear communication, and boosting learners' confidence. His punctuality is unmatched, and his teaching style effectively combines skill-building with mental confidence boosting. With a good sense of humor, Hamid makes learning enjoyable while providing constructive feedback. I highly recommend Hamid for anyone looking to become a confident and skilled driver in no time.

I had an amazing time learning with Sebastian and thanks to him I was able to pass my test first try with only one minor!

I struggled to master a manual car, but then I switched to automatic with Sebastian and my learning drastically changed and if it wasn't for him I never would have been able to have passed my test.

I started learning to drive full of self doubt and I never thought I would be able to learn as I have terrible hand eye coordination. Thank fully Sebastian knew the ideal tips and tricks along with the best spots for me to learn and develop my skills.

Quality teacher who has absolutely amazing as thanks to his local knowledge and techniques I was able to pass after just 15 hours.

My second time trying to pass I came this company and they helpped me pass practical test. Wonderful!

Honestly, I can’t thank Mike McGowan enough, it’s been a journey for nearly a year but from the beginning it was made clear I would make it and pass my driving test. From being really nervous and overly cautious I’ve been able to grow and develop as a driver gaining in confidence. I was always made to feel relaxed and even though mistakes were made sometimes more than once, I was always reassured I was learning and this is part of the experience of driving. I’m so glad to have an instructor believe in me from the start, lessons were enjoyable and positive. Although, I wasn’t able to pass first time the confidence that we would make it helped me to achieve. Thank you again Mike. I would strongly recommend Mike as your instructor for your driving lessons.Share
